Agnico Eagle's LZ5 mine boosts productivity with real-time conformance to plan tracking
Agnico Eagle's LZ5 mine was achieving 400-500 meters of lateral development with conformance to plan at 70%. To assist in their short-term scheduling and shift management, LZ5 implemented OPS, which increased their monthly development advance to 700m, with plan conformance reaching 94%.
Making geological mapping part of the bigger planning picture
Deswik Mapping's capabilities has enabled Vale's Ontario mines to improve the way they collect and store geological data. With their technical staff all working from one platform, they have achieved consistency in their geological mapping processes.

With mental health and wellbeing remaining a key issue in our everyday lives, particularly for men, our global teams all pitched in to raise $1,932 for Movember to de-stigmatize men’s health issues and encourage open conversations.
Annual Saturday of Service empowers local communities
Our North American offices hold annual 'Saturdays of Service' to give back to the community in various ways. Last year, our teams educated children on the history of mining, supported food banks and served meals, helped plant trees, and assisted in garbage cleanups.
Supporting the next generation of miners
For the past four years, our Canadian offices have helped sponsor the Canadian Mining Games. In addition to hosting an event, we have provided over 150 students from 11 universities with free software licenses and training to help them prepare for the competition.
